what are u wearing is a group show of contemporary jewelry that lives on the web, and is the second in a series of performative works of jewelry from The Jewelry Phone.
The exhibition invites audience members to ask the web portal "what are you wearing?" upon which they will listen to intricately detailed descriptions of works of jewelry from the exhibition. The purpose of the show is to highlight the beauty of form, detail, materiality, and process in jewelry through a new medium, removing the visual from our experience of jewelry entirely. No images will be part of the exhibition.
The exhibition is now live, and premiered during NYCJW20.
